On 30 December 2021, the Embassy released the notice to further standardize the recovery inspection procedure for passengers with history of COVID-19 infection. Most relevant passengers have complied with the procedure while some have failed to do so, resulting in the delays of their itineraries. For this reason, the Embassy hereby reminds passengers with history of COVID-19 infection to submit the required documents and comply with the requirements during the observation period.1. Tests and time requirements for inspectionPassengers can take the tests for inspection 1 month after the infection of COVID-19. The tests include two nucleic acid tests (PCR) with an interval of 1 day (performed in two different testing agencies that can provide the test memo with verifiable QR code for verification) and one lung X-ray/CT test. The results of these tests shall be submitted to the Embassy for review. The lung X-ray/CT shall be performed within 5 days of submission, and the two PCR tests shall be performed on the 3rd and 1st day before the date of submission respectively. For example, if you intend to submit the documents to the Embassy on Friday, you shall take the first PCR test on Tuesday and the second one on Thursday, meanwhile the lung X-ray/CT test can be performed between Monday and Thursday. Please make sure that results of the above-mentioned tests will all be obtained before Friday. Once you get the tests results, please submit them to the designated email address immediately.2. Observation period The Embassy will review the relevant documents after receiving the application and inform the confirmation via email. Passengers shall start the 14-day health monitoring during self-isolation since the date of confirmation and record the Health Monitoring Form for Passengers with History of COVID-19 Infection. If passengers show no symptoms such as fever or cough during the observation period, they can take the pre-departure tests in accordance with the date approved by the Embassy(normally 6 weeks after the inspection was approved by the Embassy) to apply for health codes. The Embassy hereby reminds that the recovery inspection procedure is a necessary measure to confirm the health status of those infected with COVID-19. Passengers who conceal the infection history to avoid the inspection shall bear all legal responsibilities arising therefrom. Passengers with history of COVID-19 infection are kindly advised to report to the Embassy via https://wj.qq.com/s2/5896473/3a7f/ promptly once they plan to travel to China, to obtain the contact email address and detailed requirements. In addition, there have been some cases of suspected re-infection among previously infected travellers to China.
