Grillhood Café, serving grilled food in the neighbourhood!

I’m a huge champion of our country’s beloved hawker food and culture. However, sometimes I crave for something a little more upscale and in a more atas environment.

With aesthetic interiors and food for the soul, neighbourhood cafes are the perfect places for that.
That said, Grillhood Café hidden at Ang Mo Kio Ave 5 near Yio Chu Kang Road is the place to visit. They not only have the perfect ‘chillout’ spot with home-recipe cafe dishes at affordable prices, they also present a good alternative to the usual hawker centres and coffeeshops while still remaining accessible. Nestled amongst your typical neighbourhood provisional shops, the cafe offers a mean variety of Instagrammable dishes, such as its own Grillhood pasta, chicken Quesadilla with sautéed onions and capsicum, Pan-Seared Barramundi served with wedges and Spicy Chicken Burger with sides of tortilla chips.
Opened in 2019, the relatively new cafe offers primarily Western dishes. However, to spice things up, they also offer soup of the day or coffee and a scoop of ice cream all by just topping-up $5.90.   Below are some of the positive reviews from it’s cafe goers: Grillhood603 Ang Mo Kio Ave 5, #01-2661 Block 603, Singapore 560603
Opening Hours: 11am – 10pm (Mon – Sun) Nothing brings me more joy than knowing that there are easily-accessible cafes in the heartlands serving up comfort food. I only hope that more cafes will open up within our populous heartlands in time to come. So do share with us if there’s one hiding in yours!
