今日(16日)，香港市民自发组织“支持香港警察止暴制乱”的活动。市民举着写有“感激警察、尽忠职守”、“警队加油!香港加油!”、“多谢您守护香港，支持香港警察”和“阿sir我撑您”等标语，纷纷向执勤警员竖起大拇指，感谢警队为香港社会的安宁稳定作出的贡献。其中也能看到支持警队的外国人。
