Rival rallies as Hong Kong’s divisions deepen

Sad to see that these youngsters are still stuck in a perceived oppression by China. Majority of the youngsters had never stepped into China, let alone understand what China is like.

The so called protesters leaders have already gone into hiding, some went overseas for further education in top universities. While they encourage the rest to continue with the struggle for liberty.

The protesters need to see by now, there was never an agenda for democracy and liberty, its all about personal gain.

Hong Kong belongs to China and the people of Hong Kong, they should stand together and not break apart. Nothing can be resolved and achieved with all these protests.

Choi Hongmun

A bunch of idiot who don’t even know who their ancestors are. If they think the Americans and British are so good, go there and attack their police station and see how they respond.

Leow Kam Soon

Let both side declare war.

Winner take all to form a new govt for the bandit land…..

Dominic Gan

It’s start with education, sack those Teachers who support riots

Sandy B Lim

Nobody should take real Democracy n Freedom for granted. For Hong Kong, I pray there will be no bloodshed and instability, China should lift up Hong Kong for greater Peace n Prosperity.

Eng Hong Ong

Sandy B Lim please describe democracy and freedom.

and please provide example of the country that you think is doing very well..

I bet you can’t even describe democracy and freedom in your own words..

Sandy B Lim

Pompeo urges China to respect

Hong Kong protesters’ rights

David Tan Hai Kun

take care of your own backyard before you interfere other people.

Leon Israpel

How about the rights of those that disagree with the protest? They also have rights too, and right now their rights have been infringed upon by the protestors and their backers. Never ending spiral, right….

Eric Cheong

They can protest 24/7 as long as they don’t block MTR, public roads that people need to use to get to work n for emergency, hurl rocks, sling shot stones, throw petrol bombs, shine laser lights at police, damage n deface properties! No country in this world, including the US will give permits to protesters to hide their identities behind masks during protests! Is a total shame you dare to speak out against the HK government n police!

Eric Cheong

Why didn’t the US ask the Spanish government to respect the rights of the Catalan people after the state held a referendum in favour of independence in 2017?

Kok Jin Li

Well said and I totally agree with you. The USA just love to meddle into the internal affairs of other countries. Especially countries in Asia and the Middle East. Hong Kong is integral part of China and this will never change.

Ean Evo Lution

Pompeo, where is the human rights for yr US citizens who are asking for banning of guns to prevent further killing of innocent people in yr country. Are their rights to ask for banning of guns in yr country heeded? No, yr govt still ignore their rights to ask for gun banning, hehehe

Lan Lan

So are you saying people are allowed to demonstrate outside the white house calling out for a communist system and any attempts to interfere with the demonstration is an attempt at limiting one’s freedom?

Niko Nishi

Protests are a waste of time when no action will be taken, just like the United States gun violence protests by students. What is the use of protests when the shootings continue to take innocent lives.

Abdul Gani Ahmad

This fucker pompeo talk without think.

Michael Tay Tay

He is another barking dog.

Weng Cheng Ye

Hey! Fat Boy! Respect begets respect! You have a pitiful face and do not look as if you have a life. Go find a life, I mean Life Not Lie.

去过正常的生活吧,我是说life(生活),不是lie(谎言)。

Hong Kong airport gets court injunction to stop protesters from obstructing operations

Kh Tan

Its about getting British Citizenship ?

Kor Yoon Lim

No need to use force >

The hk govt should :-

1) stop all the trains from going to the airport when there is a protest .

2) Or only allows the high speed train to go to the airport. Riots police will have to be station at the in town check in gates of the high speed train to check valid air tickets.

3) Shut down the airport aircon in the passenger departure or arrival area when large protesters gather. With the hot weather they will not be able to sit and protest comfortably for long hours.

4) close all shops selling water

5 remove all the trolleys in the in the passenger departure or arrival area

6) close all the toilets in the passenger departure or arrival area when large protesters gather.

7) Make the last high speed train departing the airport to close early (eg 8pm or earlier ) so that the protesters have to go home early .

In this article it says that these people are angered by “perceived erosion of freedom”. By the time you blindly attack innocent people who have nothing to do with what decision had been made, beating and hurting like mad dogs, you have surrendered your freedom. You have proven that you are not capable of behaving as civilized human being. If your parents, siblings, spouse happen to pass by and some cowards just attack them like mad dogs, would you still think the way you behave is right. Just a bunch of hooligans. I just wonder why this madness has been allowed to go on for so long.

Peter Hung

My guess is let these criminals mess up and then China could be declaring 1 country 2 systems null and void, then implement 1 country 1 system.

Henry Phua

I am sorry to say this. But the current HK methods to contain violence are ineffective. Totally behind the curve. The fact the police need to apply permit to stop protesters at the airport is ridiculous.

Richard Kam

Henry Phua You should see the video circulating on whatsapp how the American operative most probably CIA teaching the blackshirts on a daily basis how to disarm the police from their batons and counter attack them. This is not a self-defence class because he is emphasizing how to disarm the police.

Samuel Leong

Sigh.

All these pathetic dogs are showing the world is that they rather be British slaves, be an Ang Mo’s dog rather than to be Chinese.

Bunch of pathetic ang mo cock loving retards.

Roll the tanks in. Resurface the roads with these morons. They’re a waste of air.

Peter Hung

Good, these criminals are forcing their way to locked cells faster.

Swee Meng Ling

It is funny that in HK that protesters can go and disrupt MTR and airport functions, and the operator needs to get an order to stop that. Should it not the other way round? what kind of freedom is this – freedom to disrupt at the expense of freedom of others. And we have ridiculous reporting from AFP, Bomberg, etc that people do not mind being disrupted.. reporting trying to side with protesters, but defeating the very aim of the protesters which are to create pain to the people. BBC latest report seems to be quite balance, better than SCMP.

Ça va, ça vient

Hong Kong thugs and goons! Freedom of use violence – that’s the freedom they are after. What a joke!

Sojo Rn

Filthy shameless street dogs

Ricky Chen

Cant block the social media? Strange.

Yeok Fong Yong

Do you know why all these protesters/mobsters were so difficult to deal with? Because they are not yet adult but they are also no more children! Maybe Riot Police should give them sweets and candies instead of tear gas and pepper spray….try try lor……hehehheeeeee

Simon Lee

So sad that the HK govt don’t have a national emergency response system that is effective….how to govern? The HK Leaders were too slow to act and allowed the situation to get out of hand. Even now, they don’t seem to have a way to handle all this chaos. And they don’t have an army to mobilize, too. Suddenly, all the loop holes are appearing. Time to call for help from China. Hack care what the world thinks, just roll in the tanks from across Shenzhen…..restore order, then take the necessary steps forward.
